The French shine this week in FIP Silver Egypt, with a remarkable qualification for the semi-finals of Julien Seurin et Thomas VanbauceA great performance for their first association on the international circuit.
Blanqué and Hugounenq pass very close
Bastien Blanqué (n ° 109) and Arthur Hugounenq (No. 255), seeded 6, gave their all but ultimately lost in the quarter-finals after a fierce battle against the Italians Simone Iacovino (n ° 147) and Lorenzo DiGiovanni (No. 131), seeded 4.
Frustrating defeat 7/5 5/7 7/5 for the French, at the end of an extremely hard-fought match in which they never gave up. Despite this elimination, Blanked et Hugounenq showed very good things for their first collaboration.
Seurin and Vanbauce impress and continue their journey
On their side, Julien Seurin et Thomas Vanbauce confirm their excellent dynamic. After two first rounds perfectly controlled against the Egyptian pairs Hesham / Ragab (6 / 2 6 / 0) and Sabry / Kassem (6 / 1 6 / 4), they were opposed in the quarter-finals to a very solid duo: Rodrigo Coello (n ° 134) and Iván Ramírez (No. 102), former member of the world Top 25.
Against all odds, Seurin and Vanbauce delivered a great performance, winning 6 / 3 7 / 6 after a tie-break won 9/7. A great performance which rewards their solidity, their complementarity and the very positive dynamic carried by the recent victory of Seurin at FIP Bronze Kuala Lumpur.
A high-level semi-final in perspective
Qualified for the semi-finals, Seurin et Vanbauce will find another big pair: Jose Luis Gonzalez (n ° 94) and Alvaro Melendez Amaya (No. 88), seeded 2 in the tournament.
The match is scheduled tomorrow at 13:00 am (French time) on the short 1.
Although they will not be the favorites, their performance so far proves that they will have a good card to play to continue writing their beautiful story in Egypt.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
