The adventure ends in the quarter-finals of the FIP Silver Leiria for Thomas Seux / Nathan Courrin and Carla Touly / Francesca Parmigiani who lost this Saturday to higher ranked pairs, but not without having shown some good things.
Seux and Courrin continue their progression
After having achieved a superb eighth final by dominating Bruno Costa / David Antolin Solla (6 / 0 6 / 2), Thomas Seux et Nathan Courrin found this morning the seed 8, Roberto Belmont Pastor et Victor Tur Checa.
Despite a strong resistance and a close first set, they finally lost. 7 / 6 6 / 3.
A logical defeat against higher-ranked opponents, but which confirms the progress of the French duo. Already authors of a round of 16 in FIP Silver Bristol Last week, Seux and Courrin took a step forward by reaching the quarter-finals.
Their consistency is starting to pay off, and they are showing that they can now compete with some of the best teams on the FIP circuit. They will be one to watch next week in FIP Bronze Alicante qualification, a tournament announced as particularly high-level.
A fine resistance also for Touly and Parmigiani
In the ladies, Carla Toully and the Italian Francesca Parmigiani did not disgrace themselves. After having authoritatively eliminated the seeded 6 Lopez / Blanco (6 / 2 6 / 3), they faced a tougher opposition in the quarter-finals with the second seed, Barrera / Caparros.
Here again, despite a solid match, they lost. 6 / 4 6 / 4 after two hard-fought sets. A logical defeat against a higher-ranked pair, but an encouraging performance for Touly and Parmigiani.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
