Philemon Raichman et Menno Nolten , seeded 7rd in FIP Silver Reap Manila , showed great solidity throughout their journey in the Philippines. After two controlled first rounds, with victories against Hugo Jay / Mainard Mendel Sahagun (6/2 6/3) then Francis Eduard Parangan / Jose Mari Liong (6/1 6/2), things got serious in the quarter-finals.
In front of the seeded 1 , Frame Cassetta et Jose Luis Gonzalez placeholder image , the Franco-Dutch pair put up a real fight, particularly in a very hard-fought first round which was played at tie-break (7/6 [7-5]) The second set was also close, but the Cassetta/Gonzalez duo knew how to use their experience to conclude. 6/3 .
Despite this defeat, Philemon and Menno can go out with their heads held high , with a solid performance against the tournament favorites. An encouraging performance that confirms their rise to power together.
Next step for Philemon Raichman : return to Spain, where he will compete in the FIP Bronze Castellón next to Maxime Joris .
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
