Philemon Raichman et Menno Nolten, seeded 7rd in FIP Silver Reap Manila, showed great solidity throughout their journey in the Philippines. After two controlled first rounds, with victories against Hugo Jay / Mainard Mendel Sahagun (6/2 6/3) then Francis Eduard Parangan / Jose Mari Liong (6/1 6/2), things got serious in the quarter-finals.

In front of the seeded 1, Frame Cassetta et Jose Luis Gonzalez placeholder image, the Franco-Dutch pair put up a real fight, particularly in a very hard-fought first round which was played at tie-break (7/6 [7-5])The second set was also close, but the Cassetta/Gonzalez duo knew how to use their experience to conclude. 6/3.

Despite this defeat, Philemon and Menno can go out with their heads held high, with a solid performance against the tournament favorites. An encouraging performance that confirms their rise to power together.

Next step for Philemon Raichman : return to Spain, where he will compete in the FIP Bronze Castellón next to Maxime Joris.
