Dylan Guichard  et  Clement Geens  They came close to another FIP circuit title. The Frenchman and the Belgian were defeated in the final of the  FIP Silver Porto  face  Ramiro Pereyra / Juan Zamora Perez  at the end of a very close match:  7/5 3/6 7/5 .

A defeat that was hard to swallow, especially since the title seemed so close.

 A match decided by details

In difficult conditions, Guichard and Geens delivered another great battle.

After the loss of the first set  7/5 They reacted perfectly in the second set. Stronger and more aggressive, they came back to level the score and won.  6/3 .

Everything came down to a very tense third set. The Franco-Belgian duo managed to break serve and seemed to have done the hard part. But  Pereyra and Zamora Perez  managed to come back before making the difference in the final game.

A frustrating scenario for Guichard and Geens, who were defeated.  7/5  in the decisive round after coming within a few points of another title.

A first Silver title for Zamora Perez

This success has a special flavor for  Juan Zamora Perez . At only  18 years , the Spaniard secures his  first FIP Silver title .

Alongside Ramiro Pereyra, the young player was able to remain solid in key moments to conclude a very high-level week in Porto.

Some regrets, but a lot of positives

This defeat inevitably leaves regrets, especially given the advantage gained in the third set. But at the end of the match, Dylan Guichard preferred to focus on the positives.

On his social media, the Frenchman explained that the pair had not  nothing to reproach oneself for  and that she had given her all on the track. He also highlighted the attitude she displayed throughout the match, despite a particularly demanding week and tournament.

A lost final, but a match that should allow the duo to continue to grow.

A break after a tough series of matches

Guichard and Geens nevertheless finished a very good week in Portugal, marked by several victories achieved through mental strength and another final on the circuit  FIP Silver .

The Frenchman misses the opportunity to clinch a second title this season after the one he won at  Palermo but confirms once again his consistency on the circuit.

Now, let's turn to...  well deserved break  after a long series of tournaments.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
