There is now  No more French women competing at the FIP Silver Westerbork The last two chances for France,  Marie-Amélie Dardaine / Clara Mansart  et  Camille Sireix / Helena Wyckaert were stopped in the quarter-finals.

Two defeats against seeded teams, including a tough three-set battle for Sireix/Wyckaert against...  TS1 .

Dardaine / Mansart pass very close

After their great victory  6 / 3 7 / 5  face  Constança Gorito / Dora Chamli (TS9)  in the round of 16,  Marie-Amélie Dardaine and Clara Mansart  had a new big test against  Maria Portillo Perez / Martina Parmigiani (TS4) .

The French women were up to the challenge but were defeated after two very close sets.  7 / 6 7 / 5 .

A frustrating defeat, as both sets were decided by just a few points. Dardaine/Mansart therefore leave the Netherlands in the quarterfinals, despite having upset a seeded player in their opening match.

Sireix / Wyckaert are causing doubt among the top seeds

The challenge was even greater for  Camille Sireix and Helena Wyckaert After benefiting from their opponents' withdrawals in the round of 16, the French and Belgian players entered their tournament directly against the favorites.  Marta Caparrós / Águeda Pérez Ortiz (TS1) .

The match began with the top seed dominating, taking the first set.  6/2 But Sireix/Wyckaert reacted and managed to snatch the second set in a tie-break.  7/6 to completely restart the match.

Caparrós/Pérez finally regain control in the decisive set and win.  6/2 6/7 6/2 .

Sireix/Wyckaert can nevertheless retain their ability to have  pushed the number 1 seed to a third set .

With these two eliminations in the quarter-finals,  The FIP Silver Westerbork will now continue without a French representative. . Dardaine / Mansart and Sireix / Wyckaert both stumbled against pairs ranked higher on paper, but not without having seriously challenged them.
