The FIP Tour will offer an important new tournament: the FIP Star of Gran Canaria. A tournament in an exceptional setting with the central track which will be installed in the heart of Santa Catalina Park. Tournament which will take place from June 7 to 13.

From June 7 to 13 in an exceptional setting

Santa Catalina Park will host a stage of the circuit for the first time FIP ! There will be the central track of the tournament where the biggest matches will be played. The other meetings will take place at CD La Luz Centro Deportivo in Las Palmas, while the slopes of El Muelle Club de Padel will be used for the qualifying phase.

All players over the age of 16 will be able to participate, excluding Top 35 in the men's category and top 24 female players of the FIP-WPT Ranking. The main draw will consist of 28 male pairs and 28 female pairs. The prize money will be evenly distributed with 6 euros for men and 000 for women.

Covid-free competition

All the sanitary measures necessary for the prevention of Covid-19 will be in force throughout the competition. Wearing a mask will be compulsory until the moment of starting the game. Distancing will be scheduled between users as well as frequent cleaning and disinfection of installations and contact surfaces.

As recommended by authorities and healthcare professionals, match material will be new for each match and for individual use and non-transferable. Contact between adversaries will be avoided and all persons present in the facilities must be subject to strict access control with recording of contact data, hand disinfection and temperature control. They will also have to leave the track after each game, as will the players, who will be called to a specific time before their match.
