The FIP Tour continues this week with several French participants spread across the globe.  FIP Gold of San Luis in Mexico, to  FIP Silver from Espoo , in Finland, and of  Porto Sant'Elpidio In Italy, the French players will have very different ambitions. Léa Godallier arrives as the top seed alongside Daiara Valenzuela, Johan Bergeron and Julien Seurin reunite with a partnership that has already proven successful for them this season, while Carla Touly and Thomas Vanbauce will be among those to watch in Italy.

FIP Silver Espoo: Godallier / Valenzuela, the pair to beat?

This is probably the French pair to watch most closely this week.

 Léa Godallier (51th in the world)  finds Argentina  Daiara Valenzuela (58th)  and both players arrive in Finland with the status of  seeded 1 With 2,336 points combined, they are ahead of Marta Arellano / Marina Lobo and Matilde Minelli / Julieta Bidahorria in the tournament hierarchy.

And this association is no longer very experimental.

Godallier and Valenzuela have already won the  FIP Silver from Alcalá de Guadaíra , where they had dominated in the final against Lara Arruabarrena / Giorgia Marchetti 6/2 6/2. They then confirmed their form by also winning the  FIP Silver of Porto their third title in two months.

It goes without saying that in Espoo, the status of number 1 seed is not only theoretical, even though the Franco-Argentine pair were surprised last week despite their number 1 seed status in Barcelona.

Having received a bye in the first round, Godallier/Valenzuela will start directly in the round of 16 against  Nora Leinus / Abigail Tordoff , respectively 252th and 229rd in the world.

On paper, the table therefore offers them a real opportunity to reach a new semi-final, or even much more.

Sireix / De Vocht in a more delicate part of the table

Second Frenchwoman entered in the women's competition,  Camille Sireix (133nd)  will play with the Dutch  Tess De Vocht (163rd) .

They will be the 10th pair in the draw.

Their first match will pit them against the Dutch team.  Liza Groenveld / Maaike Betz A match that looks balanced on paper, but with significant stakes: a victory would see Sireix/De Vocht return to the round of 16.  seeded 3 Matilde Minelli / Julieta Bidahorria .

Bergeron / Seurin: the reunion of a winning pair

At men's,  Johan Bergeron (181th in the world)  et  Julien Seurin (174th)  constitute pair 10 of the entry list with 627 cumulative points.

The two men know each other particularly well and have already shown this season that they can be very dangerous together.

In early June, they had notably won the  FIP Bronze Dakar , by beating the 1st seed Pablo Pastor Landaburu / Luis Oliver Artigas in the final, 6/3 3/6 6/3. This title had also allowed Seurin to climb to 164th in the world rankings and to become, at that time, the new French number 2 in the FIP rankings.

They had then made a good start to the tournament at Bordeaux P2 before having to withdraw due to a hamstring injury to Bergeron.

In Espoo, you'll need to be ready immediately.

Bergeron/Seurin will face the following in their first match:  seeded 5 Jaume Romera Barceló / Nacho Moragues Moltò , respectively  122th and 118th in the world .

A challenging first round, but also one of the interesting matches to follow on the French side.

Three French pairs advance through the qualifying rounds

The French presence could still increase in the main draw.

 Guillaume Ledrap (463rd) / Arthaud Dumoulin (680th)  constitute pair 4 of the qualifications.

Just behind,  Théo Suzanna (414th) / Alexis Coulombeau (923rd)  form pair 5 of the qualifiers.

Finally  Benjamin Dufour (624th) / Jules Marie (575th)  constitute pair 8 of the qualifications.

Three 100% French associations that will therefore try to join Bergeron / Seurin in the main table.

FIP Silver Porto Sant'Elpidio: Touly and Martin well positioned

In Italy, two French women appear among the top eight pairs in the main draw.

 Melissa Martin (157th in the world)  will play alongside the Spaniard  Teresa Navarro (54th) They occupy the second position in the list of pairs present.

But French eyes will also be on  Carla Toully .

The Frenchwoman is now  88th in the world  and will be associated with the Italian  Emily Stellato (94th) The two players will be on TS7.

Touly is thus continuing a particularly busy 2026 season on the international circuit. In June, she notably reached the semi-finals of the FIP Silver in Narbonne before following it up, less than 24 hours later, with the qualifying rounds of the Valladolid P2. She then managed to qualify for the main draw in Valladolid after notably eliminating Lara Arruabarrena / Ana Catarina Nogueira and then Mónica Gómez Rivas / Marta Arellano.

This journey clearly illustrates the current momentum of the Frenchwoman, who will be looking to gain valuable new points in the FIP rankings in Italy.

Vanbauce continues his comeback operation

In the men's competition in Porto Sant'Elpidio,  Thomas Vanbauce (227th in the world)  will be associated with the Argentinian  Filippo Nicocia (251st) . This will be the  pair 15 .

For Vanbauce, every tournament currently counts in a logic of climbing back up the rankings.

The Bordeaux player has had several more difficult months and is still far from his best ranking.  174th in the world He recently explained to Padel Magazine wanting to refocus on his own project and open himself up more to foreign partners after the end of his association with Julien Seurin.

This Italian week fits perfectly into this strategy.

Another Frenchman directly featured in the main table:  Lucas Pillon (335th) , associated with the Belgian  Maxime Deloyer (515th) They constitute pair 22.

Finally  Rafael Marquet (505th) / Paul Lefevre (1448th)  will have to go through the qualifying rounds. The French pair are currently second in the qualifying list.

The overall level of the men's tournament will be particularly interesting, as it features players at the very top of the entry list  Gonzalo Alfonso (30th) / Valentino Libaak (40th) , before  Gonzalo Rubio (43rd) / Victor Ruiz (42nd) .

FIP Gold San Luis: Biron/Basso, the only French players in Mexico

Finally, off to Mexico for the  FIP Gold San Luis , where only two Frenchmen appear in the male table:  Julien Biron and Thomas Basso .

Biron is  311th in the world Basso  368e , and their association constitutes the  pair 15 .

The first round offers them a real opportunity since they will face  Lautaro Mambrini / Matias Segura , respectively 428th and 382nd in the world.

But the situation could quickly become more complicated.

If they qualify, Biron/Basso should indeed face the winner of the match between the  seeded 8 Pablo Sanchez Vicente / Ignacio Archieri  to a pair that came through the qualifiers.

A great challenge in a FIP Gold where the top spots are occupied by players well established at the international level: Alejandro Ruiz / Franco Dal Bianco are seeded 1, ahead of Alex Chozas / Juan Ignacio Rubini and Alonso Rodriguez / Juan Ignacio De Pascual.
