Several French players were engaged this week on the FIP Tour, all over Europe. On this penultimate day of the tournament, it is time to take stock of the results of the French players.

FIP Promotion Zetrud Lumay (Belgium)

There are no longer any tricolor representatives in Belgium, after the elimination of the only French pair in the running in this tournament, Nicolas Rouanet et Maxime Forcin. The two Frenchmen were knocked out, from the 8th, by the tournament's 1st seed, Clément Geens and François Azzola.

The pair Alexander Brym Arnaud Rossell did not manage to get out of the qualifications. She was beaten in three sets by a local pair: Gervais / Delvaulx.

FIP Rise Tenerife (Canary Islands)

Derek Gerson, who teamed up with Greek Vasileios Sioulis, did not have much luck in the draw. The Franco-Greek pair certainly won easily for their entry into the competition but then had the difficult task of facing the 2nd seed of the tournament, Federico Chiostri / Maximiliano Sanchez Blasco (A1 player). No feat for the Frenchman and his partner, beaten 6/4 6/2.

Fiona Ligi et Charlotte Soubrié, who were supposed to make the trip, were ultimately unable to go to the Canaries.

FIP Rise Cordenons (Italy)

The last French chances are in Italy now, although the day started badly for the French today. Already three Frenchies bowed this morning: Philémon Raichman, Timéo Fonteny et Yoann Boronad.

There are still five French players in the running this Saturday. Julien Seurin et Man Vives (TS2), Thomas Vanbauce et Maxime Joris (TS8) and Camille Sireix, accompanied by Elsa Terranova (ITA).

In the event of victory for the Vanbauce / Joris and Vives / Seurin pairs, we would have a 100% French quarter-final in Italy and therefore the certainty of seeing two French players in the semi-final!

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
