The French women shone this week on the  FIP Tour  with two great finals for  Camille Sireix  in Thailand and  Louise Bahurel  in Kosovo.
Even if the two French players fail in the last match, the lessons remain very positive with great runs and valuable FIP points earned.

 Camille Sireix meets a tougher challenge in the final in Samui 

A good week nonetheless for  Camille Sireix  au  FIP Bronze Samui  in Thailand.

Associated with the Spanish  Carmen Azcoita The Frenchwoman lost in the final against the number 1 seed:
 Alba Perez Momha / Alba Gallardo Salvado  on the score of  6 / 2 6 / 2 .

A defeat that seemed logical on paper against two higher-ranked players:

  • Alba Perez Momha, 70th in the world
  • Alba Gallardo Salvado, 115th in the world.

 A very beautiful journey in Thailand 

Before this final, the Franco-Spanish pair had nevertheless had a very strong week.

They had made a perfect start with a swift victory.  6 / 1 6 / 1 .

But it was especially in the quarter-finals that they made their mark by eliminating the number 2 seed:
 Blanca Arriola Cerrejon / Nika Sluzhiteleva  on the score of  7 / 5 6 / 3 .

A great performance that had opened the door for them.

In the semi-final, they then confirmed their form by solidly dominating the Japanese team:
 Kae Tokumoto / Saki Tsukamoto  on the score of  7 / 6 6 / 3 .

 22 FIP points and confidence 

Despite the defeat in the final, Camille Sireix leaves with:

  • a very good final
  •  22 FIP points ,
  • and a lot of confidence ahead of the rest of the Asian tour.

Starting next week, she will compete in the  FIP Bronze Phangan  in Thailand where she will be seeded 3rd along with Carmen Azcoita.

 Louise Bahurel was also a finalist in Kosovo 

Same scenario on the side of the  FIP Bronze Pristina  in Kosovo for  Louise Bahurel  and the Spanish  Ivet Val Lopez .

The Frenchwoman and her partner were defeated in the final by the number 1 seed:
 Victoria Kurz / Natividad Lopez Diaz  on the score of  6 / 3 6 / 2 .

Here too, the task was a little too difficult in the final against the tournament's top favorites.

 A huge semi-final victory 

But before that, Bahurel and Val Lopez had had a very strong tournament.

In the quarter-finals, they had completely dominated with a victory  6 / 0 6 / 2 .

And most importantly, they had achieved a great performance in the semi-final by eliminating the number 2 seed:
 Lucia Perez Parra / Catherine Rose  on the score of  6 / 4 6 / 4 .

A landmark victory that allowed them to reach a final on the FIP circuit.

 More positive news for the Frenchwoman 

As with Camille Sireix, there are many positive aspects to take away from Louise Bahurel:

  • a new international final,
  •  22 FIP points ,
  • from the experience gained,
  • and a great performance in the semi-final against a 2 seed.
