A great week overall for the French players on the  FIP Tour , with  three finals played  à  Kaunas, Nairobi and Hong Kong .

The overall picture is frustrating:  three defeats .
But in terms of content,  positive  with each time  22 FIP points earned .

Touly / Fassio: a final that was too complicated in Kaunas

Au  FIP Bronze Kaunas ,  Carla Touly and Camila Fassio (TS2)  held their rank.

Solid from the start, they knew how to manage:

  • a first round under control
  • a quarter turned upside down with character
  • a well-controlled half against the TS4

In the final, facing the  TS1 Arellano / Martinez The challenge was greater.
Defeat  6 / 3 6 / 1 , in a match where they never really managed to establish their game.

It made sense on paper, but perhaps there was an opportunity to be seized.
They still leave with  22 FIP points  and will continue to  FIP Silver Caltanissetta .

Martin / Sireix: a cruel scenario in Nairobi

Au  FIP Bronze Nairobi ,  Melissa Martin and Camille Sireix (TS1)  They had everything they needed to go all the way.

Their journey was well-controlled:

  • expedited quarter ( 6 / 0 6 / 0 )
  • semi-solid against TS4 ( 6 / 3 6 / 2 )

They were the favorites in the final… but the match turned quickly.

Conducted  6 / 2 5 / 1 ,  Melissa Martin She, injured in the elbow, had to give up despite the intervention of the physiotherapist.

A frustrating ending, because the title and the  40 FIP points  were accessible.
Uncertainty remains regarding his physical condition as the approach of  FIP Gold Almaty .

Seurin / Vanbauce: a frustrating but encouraging final

À  Lithuania, Vilnius ,  Julien Seurin and Thomas Vanbauce  They had a very good week.

Their background:

  • authoritarian entry
  • eighth mastered
  • quarter expedited
  • semi-reference to the TS3

In the final, facing the  TS4 Reina Ambel / Vazquez they bow  6 / 4 6 / 4 .

Two close sets, but the Spaniards were more efficient in the key moments, especially on break points.

A frustrating defeat, because the match was  balanced on paper , But also  lots of positive  :

  • a renewed momentum
  • more consistency
  • a final on the FIP Tour

They leave with  22 FIP points  and continue next week, still in Hong Kong for the city's second FIP Bronze.

 A frustrating but encouraging outcome

Three finals, zero titles.
The assessment may seem harsh, but the level shown is there.

Between  regularity restored ,  solid track record  et  points earned The French are moving in the right direction.

There's still a little spark needed to turn these finals into titles... but the momentum is positive.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
