In Clermont-Ferrand, padel is growing with 2 indoor padel clubs and the Gannat club not far from Vichy. In this article, we will focus on its 2 padel centers which have helped launch this trendy activity in the Auvergne region.
The two addresses in Clermont
Auvergne, known for its mountains and cheeses, has also been a land of padel since 2015 in the regional capital. The first 2 courts were created in the multi-activity complex Hpark by Aurélien Rougerie. (squash, soccer 5, bubble foot and indoor rugby). In 2016, two new indoor tracks were created as well as 10 badminton courts at BadHit. Recently, the two brands have joined forces to offer as many events as possible to the Clermont public.
The padel offer
The Hpark offers group lessons every Monday night, while classes can be organized on demand at BadHit on Tuesdays. Many non-homologated tournaments are organized all year round on both structures allowing players of all levels to confront each other.
The Hpark offers loyalty cards for all regular players while BadHit rewards its members with 45 minutes of games offered for 45 minutes purchased on Fridays.
Le Padel des Volcans organizes many approved tournaments at the Hpark all year round (Head Padel Open, National Tennis Cup, P500 des volcans by Hyundai). In 2017, during the first P500, the pair Benjamin Tison/Adrien Maigret, who had just formed, had managed to beat the French number ones Authier/Lopes in the final. A first tournament association which may have launched the career of the formidable Parisian pair who have just won the P1000 My Padel Tour this weekend.

This year, it is the pair of Lyon, Benjamin Joulot and Norman Sanchez who came to take the bet.
The Clermont Facebook group Padel, which has more than 200 members, allows you to find partners to play and complete games. All activities around Clermont padel are relayed there. Do not hesitate to join the group if you want to stay informed in the coming months.
The opinion of Padel Magazine
Padel in Clermont is above all about conviviality! Whether at Hpark with its brasserie, seminar room and children's play area with trampoline, or at BadHit and its cosy clubhouse to cool off after the game, everything is done to make you feel at home.
The famous Auvergne hospitality will allow you to unwind at the end of the day or on weekends with very large opening hours.
The competition program is very busy for the coming weeks:
- Head Padel Open P250 Men and P100 Women from June 8 to 9
- The preparation stage for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes championships at the end of June
- The National qualifying stage Padel Cup to be determined
