Recently crowned winner of the FIP Finals Grand Bourg, Fran Guerrero had some striking words with our colleagues from Relief. THE 25rd player in the world, current partner of the powerful Jairus Baptist, did not hide his admiration for Paquito Navarro :
“I would love to play with Paquito Navarro. Since I was little, I have always loved the way Paco plays. If one day this opportunity presented itself, honestly, it would make me really happy.”
Only at 25 years, the player from Málaga is having the best season of his career. With a well-established attacking style of play and a positioning on the right of the field, Guerrero impresses with his performances. His second half of the season was particularly remarkable, marked by several successes:
- Victory at FIP Gold Lyon
- Title to the FIP Platinum Marbella
- Semi-final at P1 from Kuwait
- Title to the prestigious FIP Finals Grand Bourg
A meteoric rise for the Bautista/Guerrero duo
The duo formed with Jairus Baptist works perfectly. Together, they have proven that they can compete with the best pairs in the world and their progress this season suggests even greater potential for the future. However, Guerrero's comments about Paquito Navarro leave one question hanging: could he one day join Paco if Paco offered him the opportunity? The answer is YES.
Such an association would leave a bitter taste for admirers of the pair. Bautista/Guerrero who has had an impressive run this season.
And now ?
Time will tell if Fran Guerrero will ever have the opportunity to play alongside Paquito Navarro. For now, all eyes remain on the duo. Bautista/Guerrero who continues to climb the ladder.
One thing is for sure: Fran Guerrero is a name to remember for years to come.
