On the occasion of the new edition of the tournament  France VS Morocco , Laurent Paillusseau, initiator of the first meeting between the two nations, presents to us the developments of Moroccan padel and the reasons which led him to organize the event at  Padel Marrakech Square .

 A sport in development 

"In 2024, Morocco will have approximately  150 padel courts , mainly located in  Casablanca, Rabat  et  Marrakech  ", explains Laurent Paillusseau. The country now has  2 practitioners  regular and  800 licenses  were delivered over the year. A dynamic supported by the opening of new clubs, like the Padel Marrakech Square, which this year is hosting the France – Morocco tournament.

 Why Marrakech and this club? 

The choice of  Marrakech  is based firstly on a climatic argument: an environment  dry and temperate , suitable for the practice of padel, reinforced by the proximity to the Atlas. "The club Padel "Square is new, located 7 minutes from the city center. This is an advantage for participants who can easily find accommodation while remaining close to the slopes," emphasizes the organizer.

The place offers  six outdoor courts , in a green setting. “The welcome is warm, the atmosphere relaxed. The complex also has a  varied catering offer , with several brands offering internationally inspired cuisines,” he explains.

Players can reserve their  autonomous flights , while a  hotel partnership  has been set up, with accommodation located just minutes from the club.  regular transfers  between the hotel and the site are offered at  lower cost , shared among the participants.
