La  Pro Padel League  continues to be talked about, and this time it's a nice spotlight coming from... tennis.  Frances Tiafoe , current  World No. 17 ATP , decided to join the franchise of  New York Atlantics . Not as a simple ambassador, but as  investor and strategic advisor .

This is a first: never before has a player still active on the tennis circuit committed himself so directly to a professional padel team.

More than just an investor

Tiafoe puts money on the table, approximately  3,3% of the deductible  but above all, he gets involved in the  sports project  that holds the top spot. " I am thrilled to be joining New York Atlantics not only as an investor, but also as a member of the team shaping the future of this incredible sport. " explained the American, convinced that padel is ready to explode in the United States.

With Juan Martín Díaz to support the project

On the Atlantics side, there is no shortage of stars: three players from  world top 10 including  Ari Sánchez , the n°1, and now a reinforced staff with Tiafoe… alongside a legend like  Juan Martín Díaz . Suffice to say that the New York franchise is giving itself the means to shine on and off the track.

A franchise that is skyrocketing

This deal is part of a  fundraising over $2 million , which values ​​the Atlantics at  10 million . When you consider that entry into the PPL cost just $200.000 in 2023, you quickly understand the speed at which the league is growing. Other investors include the goalkeeper of  FC Dallas Maarten Paes  and the former tennis player  Gordon Uehling .
