The Cupra Padel Tour 2024: a resounding success! With 16 steps: spread across France, participants came in large numbers and a Final Master exceptional at 4PADEL Toulouse Colomiers, this circuit has confirmed its major role in the development of amateur padel. Franck Lemousse, director of the Tour, looks back on this significant edition and discusses the future prospects for this essential circuit supported by CUPRA and its partners.

QWhat assessment do you make of the year 2024 for the Cupra? Padel Tower ?
This year has been really extraordinary. What proves this is that today, during this Master Final, we have almost all the winners of the previous stages who came of their own accord. They travelled from all over France to participate, and I am extremely grateful to them. For me, it is a great success.

And for 2025, are you planning to add more stages?
Not necessarily. Today, with 16 steps:, we have a well-balanced calendar, spread across the whole of France. We want to maintain this structure, especially since the sporting calendar is already dense. This leaves enough breathing space for each stage to be pleasant. We have found a good balance.

What was the number of participants this year compared to 2023?
The format remains similar to last year, with approximately 80 to 100 players per step. Multiplying by 16 steps plus the Masters, we reach between 1 and 500 players. Furthermore, if we include spectators and participants in the events, the number of people present is multiplied by two or three. This is where the difference in figures lies, but we remain focused on real and reliable data.

Could we see the circuit being exported abroad one day?
This is an ongoing reflection. However, it requires coordination with other branches of CUPRA, because each country manages its budgets and its independence. We are working to raise awareness among all the entities concerned. It is an idea that has been driving us for a year. So yes, there are avenues, but they are still being explored.

Key points in summary:

  • 16 steps: in 2024, a balance considered optimal.
  • Between 1 and 500 players over the year.
  • Thoughts on possible international development.
  • Loyal partners, guaranteeing the success of the event.
