During  Hexagon Cup 2025 ,  Franco Stupaczuk  confided in Sports world et The little one Padel on his ambitions for this new season. Between his  new partnership with Juan Lebrón , his reunion with  Álex Ruiz , and his  change of pala , the Argentinian approaches 2025 with ambition.

A start to the year marked by change

For  Franco Stupaczuk , the year 2025 has started on new bases.  Change of equipment  with the arrival of his new pala  Siux , which already provides him with  very good feelings , And a  ambitious project alongside Juan Lebrón . However, he chose to  skip the Reserve Cup , preferring  focus on your physical preparation  after a 2024 pre-season marked by health concerns. Having contracted dengue fever in Argentina, he had suffered from a  complicated start to the season , before returning to his best level at the end of the year. “I did quite a few competitions last year and I felt that it took a toll on me physically. I preferred to prepare myself as best I could for 2025, because it’s going to be an intense season.”

Temporary return with Álex Ruiz in Hexagon Cup

In this Hexagon Cup,  Stupa has found a familiar face on the pitch: Álex Ruiz The two men had already formed a pair in the past and won titles together. “Alex and I know each other by heart, we have very good memories together. We didn't even need to train before the tournament, we know what we have to do on the field.”

If the team competition allowed them to play together again,  Stupa is now focused on his new project with Juan Lebrón , an association that arouses a lot of expectations.

A new challenge with Lebrón: reaching the summit

One of the big topics of the interview was of course his new pair with  Juan Lebrón . After having formed a duo for a long time with  Martín Di Nenno , Stupa finally agreed to try the adventure with the  Wolf . “He had already contacted me once, but I had decided to continue with Martín. Then we talked about it again and this time I felt it was the right time.”

Behind this decision, a clear ambition:  disrupt the domination of Coello and Tapia .

“We can see that they have a big hold on the circuit. We think we can stand up to them and we want to go for the top.”

Intense work under the leadership of Carlos Pozzoni

For this association to work, the  physical and tactical work  is essential. The coach  Carlos Pozzoni  has put in place a demanding pre-season, with a  Big focus on Lebrón's rehabilitation on the right . “We were joking about whether he would play on the left or the right, but he is adapting well. He defends very well and goes into attack quickly. He has more technical quality than me, and for my part, I try to compensate with my physique.” Both players have a style  very aggressive , focused on the forward game. The objective is to  find the right distribution of roles  to maximize their complementarity.

 A positive relationship with Lebrón

If Lebrón was sometimes a player  with an explosive temperament , Stupa describes a  good understanding on a daily basis . “We train hard, there is a good dynamic. The important thing is to be in healthy competition within the team, it pushes you to progress.”

With this  new adventure , Stupa hopes  take a step  et  getting closer to the very first places  of the world ranking. The 2025 season is shaping up to be  a real test  for this pair, which aims to  shake up the hierarchy  from the first tournaments.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
