The men's final of the Premier Padel Santiago P1 ultimately did not take place. Franco Stupaczuk, suffering from a severe fever, was forced to give up the match, thus offering the title to Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán, which are therefore essential without playing.

The Argentinian wanted to address the fans via a message on social networks:

“I haven't felt well all week, and my condition has worsened. Yesterday, I had very high fevers. Despite all my efforts with the doctors, Premier Padel, we felt it was too risky to play.”

Very touched by this situation, Stupaczuk also had a thought for the Chilean public, who came in large numbers to watch the final:

“I sincerely apologize to the fans. I was hoping to recover in time, but that wasn't possible.”

He concluded with a message of hope:

“I will follow the prescribed medical treatment and hope to return very soon. Thank you to my team and everyone who supported me.”

A frustrating outcome for the spectators and for the duo Lebrón / Stupaczuk, who was disputing his third consecutive final. Opposite, Galan and Chingotto confirm their excellent form, thus chaining a second consecutive title after their victory in Miami. A well-deserved reward for a pair that is gaining momentum tournament after tournament.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
