The pair Jessica Ginier-Barbier / Carla Touly qualified this Saturday morning for the final of the 2025 French Padel Championships, disputed at Casa Padel Tres (Kingersheim)Seeded number 2, the duo confirmed their status by eliminating Lucile Pothier / Charlotte Soubrié at the end of a hard-fought but perfectly controlled semi-final after a tricky start to the match.

“We played every point at 200%”

For Carla Toully, this second qualification for the national final was built on intensity:
"We lost our first service game, but in the end, it did us good. Our opponents got into the match very well, and that forced us to immediately put in the necessary intensity. Afterwards, we played every point at 200%, and it worked well."

A state of mind shared by his partner, much more experienced at this level:
"This is my sixth final," he confides Jessica Ginier-BarberI got a little annoyed with my serve because I changed my stroke recently and I wasn't happy with it. I'm a perfectionist, so it annoys me even more when it doesn't go through. But after that first lost game, we kept going and found our rhythm."

Missed opportunities but a solid victory

The second set could have been turned, with several break chances not capitalized by Ginier and Touly.
"We were so eager to close out the points that we sometimes rushed our comebacks," Touly analyzes. "In these tense moments, you have to play, even if the comeback isn't perfect."

However, both players were able to rely on their powerful smashes to make the difference and win in two sets.

An expected final against Collombon / Godallier

In the final, they should meet the big favorites Alix Collombon and Léa Godallier, multiple French champions.
"If we decide to strike, it will have to be perfect, otherwise we will be countered," Ginier admits. "The key will be to choose the right moments to be aggressive."

Touly remains lucid:
"Honestly, I don't think Alix and Léa can lose before the final. They'll try to expend as little energy as possible. It's up to us to be at our best tomorrow and seize our chances."

Heading for Sunday morning

The women's final will be played Sunday morning in second rotation, after the wheelchair final (from 9:30 a.m.). The two players are preparing seriously:
"I'm going to rest completely," Ginier explains. "I usually attend the closing night, but this time I'll stay put. Carla is also in great shape, we'll be ready."
