[box type = ”info”] Your site dedicated only to padel gives the floor to its readers. Jérôme Becasset who will soon have the chance to benefit from the Padel Central in Lyon and loyal reader of Padel Magazine, shares his passion for this sport with us through his holidays in Spain at the Natura Resort campsite / spa in Peñiscola, more than 200 km south of Barcelona. Padel Magazine - Rest assured, despite their recent defeat in the semifinals of the last WPT, Lima and Mieres did not give up their racket to get on the bike. Vincenzo Nibali, the winner of the Tour de France, did not convert to the padel. Considering his way of climbing the passes, faster than me on a moped, he would not have needed anyone to form a competitive pair. A racket in each hand and send the balls….

No it is (again!) Only Vincente and me, double camping champions! Hey oh it's still not nothing! We are two men, strong and resistant. And camping champions! In front of us for this final match at the campsite: A couple, a woman with her husband.

Easy, we thought ...

20 minutes later, we had just taken 6 / 0 by this couple.

So we have 40 minutes left to score a game and avoid the second bicycle wheel ...

It was lucky for this couple, we thought ...

On a burst of pride and concluded with a brilliant shot played with the slice, touching the band of the net and dying at the foot of the fence, we register from the beginning of the second set our first game of the match. We celebrate it soberly and modestly by two turns of land with arms in the air and the shirt on the head screaming our joy. We have the success that we can ...

15 minutes later, having considered that it is always better to have two wheels for cycling, we conceded again 6 games in a row. 6-0 6-1 in 35 minutes. It's clean, it's neat, it's a sheet!

By mutual agreement, we decide that there is enough time to play another set. At least. At this rate we should even be able to play 2 or 3 more.

And suddenly, the magic happens, the returns become winners, our serves finally get in the way and our volleys are out of reach for our opponents. The games are linked as in a dream and we conclude the set with a thunderous smash over the side window. 6-0! Go zou! The spare tire is for them!

Okay, they had been playing for 1:20 before we showed up. And yes, it was indeed their 6th set of the day. But at least the honor is (almost) safe!

In the end, the lesson was bitter but salutary! And above all, oh how profitable!

This sport if not practiced in a mixed way at the highest level, could be very easily. Fineness, precision and touch of the ball usually outweigh the brute force. Proof was made with this couple who put us standing, beer in hand.

So thank you to Angel, champion of his club and Noelia, captain of the women's team of the same club for the beating. The padel brought them together and like their couple, their combination of strength and finesse is formidable!

Come on now that we have all the necessary equipment, tomorrow it will be a little bike ride to keep in shape but I promise, we'll play revenge the day after tomorrow night!
