The FFT is launching, on the initiative of its president Gilles Moretton, a tour of the territories to meet the clubs.

La French Tennis Federation is launching from the end of the month a tour in the territories, which will allow its President Gilles Moretton, his teams and former champions, ambassadors of French tennis, to renew with local meetings with the clubs. Placed under the sign of conviviality, this tour aims to exchange views with the clubs, to give a voice to teachers, members, club leaders, departmental committees and leagues in order to better support them in the conquest and the loyalty of practitioners. This approach is part of the “Together for clubs” program which aims to co-construct the tennis of tomorrow with the entire “tennis” ecosystem and to develop the attractiveness of the various disciplines.

Each stage of this tour will take place in a club, a place of exchange, development, learning and pleasure on the courts; the club is also where it all begins. Gilles Moretton and the representatives of the Federation will fully listen to the local teams and discuss the various issues facing the clubs to help them respond in the best possible way. They will also discuss the training of young people and teachers. French tennis ambassadors (Arnaud Clément, Pauline Parmentier, Emilie Loit…) will also take part in these meetings to share their experience. This experience, which will be repeated regularly during the term of office, will make it possible to go to all the territories, at the rate of one or two dates per month.

During each of the stages, workshops will be offered around the following themes: club development through new practices (padel, beach tennis…) and new audiences (healthy tennis, inclusive tennis, etc.), sports development of the club and development of training for young people and teachers. These workshops will take place with very diverse groups so that the exchanges are as rich as possible. These afternoons will continue with “clinics” on the courts (exchanges of balls) bringing together all the participants and members, and will end with a cocktail.

Gilles Moretton, President of the FFT, Daniel Courcol, Director of the federal pole, Pierre Cherret, Director of training, Patrick Vergnes in charge of relations with the Territories at the DTN (representing Nicolas Escudé), as well as the French tennis ambassadors Arnaud Clément and Pauline Parmentier, will launch this tour in the territories with a first stop at the Country Club Aixois on August 26th.

The FFT will ensure that these meetings take place in compliance with the new health rules currently being implemented.

“I am very proud to launch this tour in the territories in order to meet the clubs. This initiative reinforces our position to focus tennis on leisure, competition and conviviality. With my teams and the ambassadors of French tennis, who wish to give back to the clubs everything they have given them, we are convinced that this approach will allow us to be as close as possible to the expectations and problems of the clubs in order to better support them. " , declares Gilles Moretton, President of the French Tennis Federation.

The first stages of this tour in the territories are as follows:

- August 26: Country Club Aixois (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur league)
- August 27: Nice Giordan (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur league)
- September 15: Tennis Padel Concarneau (Brittany league)
- September 28: AT Grand Tours (Center Val-de-Loire league)
