Just a few days before the start of the  Reserve Cup Marbella who will be competing in the  18 to 20 June The match is already making all padel fans salivate.  Saturday June 20 at 20 p.m. The exhibition event will offer an unprecedented clash between  Alejandro Galán and Leo Augsburger  on one side, and  Arturo Coello and Coki Nieto  the other.

 A completely unexpected Galán/Augsburger partnership

On paper, see  Alejandro Galán and Leo Augsburger  staying on the same team seemed almost impossible just a few months ago.

The young Argentinian had previously explained that Galán's playing style didn't necessarily match what he was looking for in a partner. This public statement prompted the world number 2 to react, stating that the Argentinian player was "very poorly supported."

But the Reserve Cup is precisely the opportunity to break with tradition. The two men will ultimately find themselves on the same side of the net in a partnership that is generating a great deal of interest.

The other question concerns the distribution of roles.  Galán and Augsburger both usually play on the left. . One of the two will therefore have to move to the right, a parameter that could completely change the dynamics of this ephemeral pair.

Coello and Coki, a pair who already know each other perfectly

Opposite,  Arturo Coello and Coki Nieto  offer more guarantees. The two Spaniards are very close off the track and have already competed together in previous events.

The most striking memory dates back to the last World Championships. Playing together in the final, they delivered an exceptional performance, inflicting a severe  6/1 6/1 to Franco Stupaczuk and Martín Di Nenno A demonstration that highlighted their complementarity and their ability to quickly develop automatic responses.

Coki's defensive and ultra-consistent profile then perfectly matched Coello's power and explosiveness, giving birth to a particularly attractive pairing.

A clash that promises to be spectacular

Even without any bearing on the standings, this match has all the ingredients of a great encounter. On one side, a  a completely new and intriguing association  between Galán and Augsburger. On the other hand, a duo  already proven and capable of performing at a very high level  with Coello and Coki.

The Reserve Cup has a history of featuring combinations that will never be seen on the official circuit. This one is already considered a headliner.

Join us on Saturday, June 20th at 20pm for one of the most anticipated matches of this 2026 edition of the Reserve Cup Marbella.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
