Fresh from the victory of  P1 Miami ,  Alejandro Galán  spoke during an interview given to “The COPE Party”The Spaniard reflected on his momentum with  Federico Chingotto , his rivalry with the world number ones and the importance of pair stability on the current circuit.

A very balanced start to the season

Crowned in Miami with  Federico Chingotto ,  Alejandro Galán  is going through a particularly positive period. The pair seems to have found the right balance and is now regularly competing with  Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia , particularly during indoor tournaments.

When asked about this rivalry, the Madrid native acknowledged that clashes are increasing but that the balance of power has tightened in 2026. After four tournaments played this season, each pair has two titles.

Galán emphasizes this dynamic: according to him, this direct competition raises everyone's standards and pushes players to constantly improve.

A healthy rivalry with the number ones

Even though the clashes are frequent, the atmosphere remains respectful between the two teams. Galán mentions a cordial relationship with Coello and Tapia, despite the intensity of the matches.

On the track, the duels are fierce. Off the track, respect prevails. A rather rare situation at this level where the pressure is constant.

Stability as the key to success

In a circuit marked by numerous changes of partners, Galán was keen to defend a different vision.

For him, the current results are no accident. The pairs that perform best are also those that have worked together the longest.

This observation directly reflects the regularity of its association with Chingotto, but also that of their main rivals.

A team-oriented player

When asked about his qualities, Galán doesn't highlight any particular shot. He emphasizes more his ability to adapt to his teammates over the seasons.

This approach partly explains his success. The Spaniard has built his career by being able to get the best out of every combination, with sometimes very different profiles.

Between high standards and balance

Despite a busy schedule, Galán also spoke about the need to find balance off the track. After his victory in Miami, he allowed himself some quiet time, away from the usual rigor imposed by top-level competition.

He does, however, point out that physical preparation remains essential to last a full season, which is becoming increasingly demanding on the circuit. Premier Padel.

Padel is gaining popularity beyond the circuit

Finally, Galán spoke about the growing popularity of padel among athletes from other disciplines. He highlighted the skill level of some former footballers, who are increasingly present on the courts, in particular  Arjen Robben , Dutch football legend who made his debut on the FIP circuit.

Further proof of the rise of the discipline, which continues to attract people far beyond its usual circle.
