In March 2025,  Padel Horizon  entered history by becoming the  first French club to exceed 1,000 registered players who have competed in at least one sanctioned tournament over the last twelve months A performance that at the time seemed untouchable.

At that time,  le   Garden Rennes Tennis Club  pointed only to the  5th place  of the rankings and was significantly behind the leader from the Île-de-France region (less than 600 competitors).

However, in the space of a year and a half, the Breton club has made spectacular progress.

An impressive progression

En  July 2026 , Garden Rennes in turn reaches the symbolic milestone of  1 competitors , with  1 players  having participated in at least one tournament in the last twelve months.

The Rennes club thus becomes  the second French club  to cross this mythical threshold, behind Sport Horizon (1,141 competitors).

This progress is all the more remarkable given that the Garden has managed to  more than doubling its number of competitors in just over a year gradually closing the gap that separated him from the national leader.

A club driven by competition…

Like most major French clubs, this growth is primarily driven by male players. The Garden has  915 competitors , against  99 competitors .

But this last figure deserves to be highlighted. With  99 players entered in the competition The Breton club is also nearing a symbolic threshold and even  better than Padel Horizon , which lists  86 competitors .

A dynamic that owes nothing to chance

Garden Rennes needs no introduction in the French padel scene. A historic club, organizer of numerous competitions and a major player in the development of padel in Brittany, it confirms today its ability to attract new competitors and retain its members.

If Sport Horizon (Padel Horizon) maintains a lead with  1 competitors The progress of Garden Rennes is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the last eighteen months in French padel.

The question now is how far the Breton club can continue this momentum… and whether, in the long term, it will be able to further reduce the gap with the national leader.
