This is the big news of this weekend in the world of professional padel:  Javier Garrido  et  Tolito Aguirre  will play together at  Premier Padel Bordeaux P2 , expected from  30 June at 6 July 2025 . A piece of news that intrigues and already raises a lot of expectations, as this pair seems almost unexpected and promising.

 Tolito Aguirre and Javi Garrido, unexpected, but written!  

Unexpected? Not really, in reality, if we look back at the news recently, particularly with the announcement of their separation two days ago between Alfonso and Aguirre: with the injury of  Tino Libaak  to a vertebra, which will keep him away from the field for more than a month,  Javi Garrido  had no other choice but to look for a partner. In fact, one wonders why this was not done for Valladolid P2.

 An opportunity to rekindle momentum 

Both players are not going through their best period. Having struggled in recent weeks,  Argentinian Tolito Aguirre (34th in the world)  et  Spaniard Javi Garrido (16th in the world)  seem to be in search of renewal. This new association, which will officially begin in Bordeaux, could well allow them to regain confidence and a more positive dynamic.

 A unique duo, but not yet lasting 

It is important to clarify that this union is, for the moment, only planned from  Bordeaux  . In fact, during the  Valladolid P2  which precedes the Bordeaux stage,  both players will continue to play alongside their current partners  : Aguirre with  Gonzalo Alfonso , and Garrido with  Valentino Libaak . Bordeaux will therefore mark a turning point in their respective projects.

 A great operation for Tolito 

From a purely strategic point of view,  Tolito Aguirre is the big beneficiary of this union in terms of ranking By teaming up with the world number 16, the Argentinian significantly increases his chances of being seeded in the long term. For Garrido, this association also allows him to explore a new level in the company of a creative and unpredictable player, capable of turning a match around with a flash of genius. For now, the two players will form the 10th pairing of the Bordeaux tournament.

 An ideal tournament to reveal yourself 

Le  Bordeaux P2 , which will be held at the Mériadeck Ice Rink, promises to be a highlight of the season. It will be the only P2 organized in France in 2025, with a field that brings together the best players in the world and an ever-growing local fervor. The arrival of this atypical pair is sure to attract attention, both from the public and from observers of the circuit.

 Tolito  et  Garrido  will therefore play together. One unknown remains: is it a temporary duo, while waiting for Tino to return to the slopes, or a partnership that could last? “Everything will depend on the results, because those obtained by  Tino and Javi  “We have not been convincing so far,” concludes coach Emilio Forcher.
