In press conference  Gemma Triay  didn't hesitate for a second when asked who she thought was the best player in history. Her response was immediate:  "Alejandra Salazar" . By his side,  Delfi Brea  punctuated with humor with a simple  " Point " .

A heartfelt tribute to his ex-partner

Triay justified his choice by highlighting the longevity and impact of the Madrilenian: "She's demonstrated this with many partners. Despite her age, she remains decisive. Through her way of playing, through the pleasure she exudes on the court, through the way she makes her teammates shine and her ability to adapt."

The memory of “Triazar”

Behind this statement also lies a shared history. Triay and Salazar formed one of the most popular pairs on the circuit, nicknamed  “Triazar”  by the fans. Together, they reached the top, becoming world number 1 in  2021 and 2022 , before a separation in 2023.

An extraordinary track record

Triay's words take on even more meaning when looking at Salazar's CV:  52 titles on the World Padel Tour  et  7 world titles  with the Spanish team. A record that confirms her status as a legend of women's padel.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
