A little down since the start of the season, Lucas Bergamini and Victor Ruiz have just put in a great performance in Genoa!

After starting the season as seed 8, thanks to some nice moves made during the previous year, Lucas Bergamini and Victor Ruiz have disappeared from the radar a little this year.

Never passing the milestone of the eighth since the start of 2024, the Spanish-Brazilian pair disappoints, so much so that the rumor of a separation between Victor and Lucas is growing around the planet padel. But this Genova P2 will perhaps be a trigger for the Spaniard and the Brazilian (who is coming out of a semi-final in Bordeaux with Pablo Cardona). Indeed, the two friends have just qualified for their first quarter-final together this season!

Facing Jon Sanz and Coki Nieto, two players who are just ahead of them in the rankings, Bergamini and Ruiz were able to make the most of the external conditions to leave with a victory in two sets: 6/4 6/3 in 1h15! Tomorrow they will meet the winners of the match between Galan / Chingotto and Libaak / Augsburger.

Disappointing during the Rome Major, Jon and Coki show difficulty outdoors and with Javi Garrido free, we say that a new separation could see the light of day…

While waiting to find out more on this subject, don't miss the rest of the eighth in Genoa!
