Premier Padel organized a slightly crazy exhibition match aboard the aircraft carrier Giuseppe Garibaldi, moored in the port of Genoa, as part of the opening of the main draw of the Genoa Premier Padel P2.
The installation of a “Full Panoramic” padel court by MejorSet – a first on a ship of this size – created an unforgettable and unique experience for all attendees. Guests were able to see some of the best padel players in the world at work: Arturo Coello, Agustin Tapia, Federico Chingotto, Alejandro Arroyo, Ari Sánchez, Paula Josémaria, Claudia Fernández and Gemma Triay.
The Giuseppe Garibaldi, a historic flagship of the Italian naval squadron, has been in operational service for almost 40 years. He has participated in major international missions, including in Somalia, Kosovo, Lebanon and Libya, and recently took part in an exercise in the Arctic Circle.
The ceremony also welcomed several distinguished international and regional guests, including: Captain Marco Guerriero, Marco Bucci, Mayor of Genoa, Admiral Aurelio De Carolis, Commander-in-Chief of the Naval Wing. Also present at the ceremony were the president of the International Federation of Padel (FIP), Luigi Carraro, the president of FITP Liguria, Andrea Fossati, and the CEO of Premier Padel, David Sugden.
