Philemon  Raichman  will be the only French player present in the  main board  du  Gijon P2 . Associated with the Dutch  Menno Nolten , he continued  two consecutive victories  during the tournament qualifications  Premier Padel . Although they were favourites in their part of the draw and seeded  n ° 2 , the pair  Franco-Dutch  confirmed his status by securing a place in a  main board  of a tournament  Premier Padel .

If this tournament takes place in a particular context,  Raichman  is the only Frenchman to have known  benefit  to reach this level of competition.

Vanbauce and Wagner fail in qualifications

The French pair  Thomas Vanbauce / Simon Wagner  failed to make it through qualifying, losing in  two sets  ( 6 / 2 6 / 2 ) in front of  Mariano Agustín González San Martín / Juan Zamora Pérez  during the small final. A disappointment for the  #3 seeded , who were among the favorites in their table.

Collombon and Martinez start on Wednesday

In the ladies,  Alix Collombon and Araceli Martinez  will start their tournament this  Wednesday February 26th  with a  first round affordable but tricky  facing a pair they know well:  Arruabarrena / Rufo . The match is scheduled for  third rotation from 9am  (about  midi  French time) on the  short 2 .

In case of victory,  Collombon / Martinez  will face the  seed n ° 8 ,  Jessica Castelló / Zazu Osoro . A duel where there could be a  opportunity to seize ,  Castelló and Osoro  not being at their best since the start of the season.
