The final of Gijon P2 kept all its promises with an unprecedented clash between the World number 1, Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría, and the new pair formed in 2025, Gemma Triay and Delfi BreaThe objective of the latter is clear: dethrone the queens of the circuit. And they struck a major blow by imposing themselves at the end of the suspense 0/6 6/1 6/4.

A one-way first set: the number 1s in demonstration

From the start of the match, Sánchez and Josemaría imposed a hellish pace. Ultra aggressive, they dictate the exchange and give their opponents no respite. Nine break points obtained, three converted, and only four winning points for Triay and Brea : the domination is total. Gemma Triay, in difficulty, struggles to get into her game.
