Bea González  et  Claudia Fernández  won the final of the  Premier Padel Malaga P1  face  Tamara Icardo  et  Marta Ortega  on the score of  6 / 2 6 / 1 An impressive home success for Bea, which confirms their rise to power and places them a little further in the race for the world throne.

A close first set… despite the score

Le  dry score  of 6/2 could lead one to believe it was a formality, but this  first set lasted 58 minutes The intensity was at its peak from the first exchanges, in a  central heating.  In this battle, González and Fernández knew how to make the difference  in key moments  : 3 break points converted out of 6 against only 1 out of 4 for their opponents.

Bea González , pushed by the Malaga crowd, started her home final perfectly. Very solid on the smash, she forced Icardo and Ortega to overplay their lobs, regularly putting them in difficulty. Result:  17 unforced errors  salary.  13  for the winners, who logically pocket the first act.

 A second demonstration set

The second set left no  no hope  to Icardo and Ortega.  Bea and Claudia were unplayable , imposing a  hellish pace  from the start. González shone in  all compartments of the game  : smash, bajada, stolen… At his side,  Claudia Fernandez delivered one of her best performances , committing only  2 unforced errors  on the set. Impeccable in transition, she even added several winning smashes to her arsenal.

Opposite,  the Icardo / Ortega pair , who was disputing his  first final together , did not find the solution. The level was simply too high. The set ended with a  6/1 in 34 minutes , with an impression of total mastery.

A duo that enters another dimension

It's already the  second title this season  to  González and Fernandez  after their coronation in Asunción, and this one has a  special flavor for Bea , which finally triumphs at  home in Malaga The Spanish pair are playing their  fifth final of the year , and seems to reach a  new maturity .

While  Sanchez / Josemaria  et  Triay / Brea  show some signs of fatigue,  the González / Fernández duo is gaining momentum Their game is more solid, their confidence is total, and  The race for world number 1 is now a three-way fight .

This title is a  strong signal  sent to the circuit:  Bea and Claudia have all the tools they need to aim for the top.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
