Gonzalo Alfonso et Leonel “Tolito” Aguirre, the number 1 pair on the circuit A1 Padel, will make their debut on the circuit Premier Padel from the 2025 season. According to information reported by VeinteDiez-Padel, this decision comes after contractual disagreements and tensions with the management of A1 Padel.

A new departure planned from Riyadh
Alfonso and Tolito are expected to make their debuts at the P1 of Riyadh, which will take place from February 10 to 15, 2025. However, due to their low FIP ranking (Alfonso 139th and Tolito 161st), they might have to start by playing separately, their respective partners for this first phase not yet being defined.
The reasons for their departure
According to the sources of Twenty Ten Padel, their decision was motivated by “non-compliance with contract” and disputes with A1 management Padel. These tensions have reportedly reached a point of no return in recent weeks, pushing them to explore a new adventure on the personalised tour Premier Padel.
A turning point for Alfonso and Tolito
After dominating A1 Padel, this transition marks a turning decisive in their career. Premier Padel offers more competition raised and better visibility. However, their low initial ranking could pose challenges when they start out, forcing them to climb the ranks quickly to establish themselves permanently in the circuit.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
