Are you ready for the Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major ? We take stock of everything you need to know before the biggest tournament of padel in the world, which will be played at Roland-Garros. 

Dates to know

The G3PM will take place from Monday July 11 to Sunday July 17, 2022. The qualifications will take place on Sunday July 10.

The draw for the final table will take place this Sunday, July 10, at 14 p.m., at the Carré Roland-Garros.

Le Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major (G3PM) will take place at the Roland-Garros stadium. Six tracks of padel will be installed there, including one on the Philippe-Chatrier court. Courts n°2, 3, 4 and 5 will also host padel. The track set up on court n°6 will be reserved for training.

  • Sunday July 10: qualifications (start of matches at 13 p.m.)
  • Monday, July 11: qualifications + start of the first round of the main draw (start of matches at 13 p.m.)
  • Tuesday July 12: continuation of the first round (start of matches at 14 p.m.)
  • Wednesday July 13: second round (start of matches at 14 p.m. / last match from 20 p.m.)
  • Thursday July 14: round of 14 (start of matches at 20 p.m. / last match from 30:XNUMX p.m.)
  • Friday 15 July: quarter-finals (start of matches at 14 p.m. / the last two matches from 18 p.m.)
  • Saturday July 16: semi-finals (matches start at 15 p.m.)
  • Sunday, July 17: final (at 15 p.m.)

Le Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major will be broadcast by Canal+ a priori from the 8th. 

COMPETITION FORMAT

Qualifications: 32 teams (including 2 recipients of an invitation) will compete for the 8 tickets for the main draw during the qualifications.

Final draw: the main draw will bring together 56 teams (44 entering directly + 8 qualified pairs and 4 wild-cards). The eight seeds will be exempted from the 1st round

GAME FORMAT

The games will be played in the best of 3 sets with a 6-all tie-break in the third and advantage in the tied games.

Le Greenweez Paris Premier Padel Major will be a unique opportunity to enjoy the Roland-Garros stadium in a different way, in a unique, friendly and festive atmosphere. The public will thus have the opportunity to experience beautiful summer evenings in an exceptional setting.

Many activities will be offered to spectators around the Jardin des Mousquetaires:

  • Padel : the public will be able to try padel with qualified teachers on court n°5 for the duration of the competition.
  • Curling: a synthetic curling track will invite the public to share a moment of conviviality with friends.
  • Petanque: two petanque courts will be set up within the Jardin des Mousquetaires
  • Mölkky: this trendy game, which is an alternative to petanque, will invite spectators to test their skills.
  • Retrogaming: various video games around tennis and racket games will be offered to the public
  • Urban tennis: spectators will be invited to discover but also to learn about this discipline accessible to all and played everywhere
  • Music: a musical atmosphere will punctuate the first part of the day while from 17 p.m., a "set" will be provided by the DJettes Naomie K and Djenmorgan.
