At the Open ASCAP Montbéliard, the pair Groll / Garcia struck again at the end of a final that could have escaped them in the face of the irreducible Henry / Olivetti.

In the 4th Open, this is the third victory for the former top tennis players of ASCAP.

The ranks were finally respected. In this final, there were 2 matches, a complicated first set for Christophe Henry and Albano Olivetti where we had to get into the match and get into the rhythm. Because opposite, Terri Groll and Diego Garcia put a lot of impact from the first points of the match by storming the net.

Short exchanges, precise balls: A recipe that works throughout the first set and which ends with a 6/1 without appeal.

The second set is another matter. Clearly, the match that we expected between the first two Alsatian pairs begins at this point. If Groll / Garcia perhaps slows down the pace a bit, it is especially Henry / Olivetti who manages to launch their final.

A very tight second set which ended in the tie-break in favor of Groll / Garcia.

As always at ASCAP Montbéliard, a great team to offer a very good competition. The seeded 1 in the table thus upholds its law in this event, but we can say that it was not far from finding itself in an undecided 3rd set against the seed 2 Henry / Olivetti.
