Incredible: We will have for the first time in the history of World Padel Tour, a French pair in a WPT Open! Robin Haziza and Adrien Maigret have been called up as Lucky loser to play Swedish Open first round - World Padel Tour.

Among the men, we had never seen that. The story is even more beautiful when we know that this is a first association between Robin Haziza and Adrien Maigret and that it is especially for Adrien his first participation in a stage of the World Padel Tour.

In the history of World Padel Tour, we had never seen a player enter a main draw, moreover in an Open, for his first participation.

Adrien Maigret is on his little cloud. He tells us :

Of course, there is a lot of success in this tournament. Getting into a first round of the main draw is huge. A dream even for very good players of padel who fight throughout the year to hope to reach a main draw. And I managed to do it for my first tournament. It's just huge.

Robin Haziza is in a good position to talk about this incredible opportunity:

I live in Barcelona for almost 2 years and get down every day to hope to access a main draw. For the moment French players and / or pairs have always been far from having access to a main draw of an Open because the road to get there is very complicated. And here we go finally.

The French pair had certainly lost to the best pair of previas this morning. But luck smiled after them.

The draw is scheduled at 18h to know against which our French will play.

Another good news, Robin Haziza ranked 181e world player on this tournament could reach his best ranking namely the top 130 world and become the first French player on the WPT ranking held today by his French partner Jérémy Scatena (135e player ).

Adrien Maigret is expected to reach the world top 180 as of next week. He who had no points to date, will find himself next week with a ranking that will allow him to access tournaments more easily. World Padel Tour with his official partner Benjamin Tison next August.

Go France !
