Between new technologies in rackets, the evolution of its shoes, and increasing involvement in player training, HEAD continues to expand its footprint in the world of padel The Austrian brand, historically focused on innovation in racket sports, is multiplying its initiatives: launching new ranges for 2026, developing technical equipment, and partnering with training organizations. Here's an overview of several key developments surrounding the brand.
Extreme ONE, Radical, Coello: analyses by Stéphane Penso
These last weeks, Stéphane Penso took a look at several flagship models from the HEAD 2026 range. Three highly anticipated families of rackets, each with a very different philosophy.
On the side of the Extreme ONE HEAD continues to explore its concept of single hole racket which appeared in 2023. What began as a bold innovation has gradually transformed into a full-fledged product line. The 2026 season confirms this direction with a structured ONE collection, further solidifying this technological choice.
La new Radical range This model, however, occupies a different position within the HEAD lineup. Situated between the more aggressive Extreme/Speed series and the more accessible Gravity family, it aims for a balance between power and control. While not completely revolutionizing the category, these new models bring several notable improvements that are noticeable on the trail.
Finally, it's impossible to talk about HEAD without mentioning the Coello range Inspired by the game of world number 1 Arturo Coello, the objective of this series is clear: to offer rackets that capture the offensive DNA of the Spanish player, while remaining accessible to different types of players thanks to several variations.

Footwear, academies and innovation: HEAD strengthens its presence in padel
Beyond racquets, HEAD also continues to expand its range of equipment.
The brand recently presented the Motion Pro 1.5 BOA , a new evolution of one of its padel shoe models. This version incorporates the BOA Dual Dial Li2 Fit System A double dial system allows for precise and quick adjustment. The aim is to better lock the heel while maintaining more freedom in the forefoot, a particularly desirable feature during explosive movements and changes of direction.
HEAD is also continuing its commitment to the development of padel by partnering with training organizations. The brand has thus become official equipment supplier of the MY CENTER Academy , a French structure renowned for training high-level players. The academy is managed on the sporting side by Benjamin Tison , former French number 1 and HEAD ambassador.
As part of this partnership, HEAD will provide the padel equipment for the academy — rackets, balls, textiles and shoes — in order to support players and coaches in their daily work.
A brand that draws on 25 years of experience in padel
The year is also symbolic for HEAD, which is celebrating its 75 years of existence The brand attributes this longevity in particular to its obsession with innovation.
Founded in 1950 by Howard Head The company first made its mark in skiing before gradually extending its expertise to racket sports. As explained Ottmar Barbian , Executive Vice-President of the Racquet Sports division:
"We have always sought to offer the best innovations, whether in skiing, tennis, or now padel, to enable players to reach their best level."
Present in padel for more than two decades, HEAD continues today to expand its offering and support the evolution of the sport, both through its products and through its involvement in the padel ecosystem.
