Evan Grand, communications and marketing manager at Head, reveals the new models of its brand for 2025. Second episode with the “Speed” range.
A collection revised from top to bottom, or almost
"We're going to get back the speed of play and the One Hole, we're starting to integrate it into all our ranges. It's a technology that worked very well on our first launch with the Extreme One. We were very familiar with the Speed Pro X, which was the very high-end racket reserved for experienced players. Now, we're going to call it the Speed One X."
Some changes compared to the previous model
"It's a slightly harder racket on impact, more solid with this carbon fiber coating. The strength of the One Hole is to have a more powerful hitting speed with a more aerodynamic movement in the air. This is what allows the ball to be accelerated to the maximum."
A more aggressive Ole Hole?
"The Extreme One, which was known for its power, weighed 345 g. Now, we are on 365 g. The weight is higher and there will be even more power, which allows us to find the characteristics of the Speed. It will be available at the end of 2024."
An evolution on the Speed Pro
"On the Speed Pro, we already had the Soft Buttcap which is a handle tip that absorbs vibrations. We decided to go even further and integrate rubber tips to absorb a maximum of vibrations at the heart of the racket."
One hole or several, what are the differences?
"On the Speed Pro, the Speed Motion or the Speed Team, we will keep the characteristics of the current model while integrating this famous anti-vibrator. We are also evolving at the level ofAuxetic, which is our high-end technology at Head (to have a better connection with the racket, editor's note). We added some at the handle level to accentuate the feeling at the impact of the strike and to have something more precise. There too, we will have to wait until the end of 2024. »
