After the ladies, the logic was also respected among the men. Men's final of the French Championships +45 pitted the two best pairs of the tournament against each other, and it was finally the 1st seed, Christophe Henry and Frédéric Loriedo, who won after a close match against Julien Datcharry and Nicolas Kischkewitz : 6/2 6/7 6/4.
A great start for the favorites
Loriedo and Henry didn't take long to set their pace. Ultra-aggressive from the start, they quickly took the opposing team's serve twice to take the lead. 6/2 after 30 minutes. Opposite, Datcharry and Kischkewitz struggle to find their cohesion and suffer the variations in pace imposed by their opponents. Some signs of tension appear in the number 2 pair, without managing to reverse the dynamic.
A second set relaunched… on the wire
In the second set, the match changed tone. Datcharry and Kischkewitz stepped up their game, saving a match point at 6/5, and force a tie-break which they win with courage (7/6The outsiders returned to the game, driven by a more solid defense and better efficiency on their rare opportunities (3 breaks out of 9 obtained in the match).
A physical and tense third act
The last round is the longest: 46 minutes of intense combat, prolonged exchanges and visible suffering on both sides. Frédéric Loriedo, in particular, takes a physical hit, but hangs on. With 72 winning points in the match (against 60 for their opponents), the Henry / Loriedo pair ended up making the difference at the right time, to conclude 6/4.

A deserved victory and a fine succession
With this success, Christophe Henry and Frédéric Loriedo succeed Arnaud Clément and Arnaud Di Pasquale, crowned last year. They put their name on the list of winners by having fully assumed their status, at the end of a tense and contested final, but where their consistency and commitment will have made the difference.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
