For their first tournament together , Pol Hernandez et William Collado did not do things by halves. Opposed to the third seed in the final Álvaro Cepero / Eduardo Agustín Torre , both players delivered a perfectly controlled match , imposing 6 / 3 6 / 3 in only 2 minutes.
A one-sided game
In windy conditions which they were able to tame, Hernandez and Collado quickly took the upper hand. A quick break in each set , impeccable management of key moments, and remarkable solidity in defense allowed the duo to never really be worried.
Facing them, the Cepero / Torre pair, already in difficulty in the semi-final , never found his rhythm. Agustin Torre , in particular, had a complicated final, making multiple mistakes and struggling to establish his game.

The point of the title
À 5/4 in the second set , on a heroic defense , Guillermo Collado manages to counter an opponent's smash by sliding the ball into the net... on the opponent's side. A spectacular point , like their tournament, which sealed the victory of the outsiders who became masters in Bandol.

A perfect week
This coronation concludes a perfect week for the Spanish duo. After having eliminated seed 1 , Gonzalo Rubio / Javi Ruiz , in the quarterfinals, Hernandez and Collado did not drop a single set to their opponents in their last two matches. A beautiful performance which could well give this pair ideas to extend the adventure together.
Make way for the Rome Major
From next week the two players will meet their respective partners, Pol Hernandez will find Ramiro Jesus Valenzuela et William Collado will be alongside Javi Valdes to compete for the prestigious Italy Major in Rome.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
