This is a question that often comes up in the world of padel: How much does a padel player earn at the end of each tournament? A question that can be addressed in several ways, if we are interested in the different categories of tournaments, the different circuits, or even gender equality.

On the First Padel, the prize money differs depending on the category. Players don't get the same on a Major than on a P1… and that’s normal.

Another circuit was created this year, theUltimate Padel Tour. The players are not bound to this circuit by a contract and can therefore go, as they wish, to any of the 14 stages planned by the UPT.

Is it interesting for players to go to these stages? financially, is it worth participating in an Ultimate tournament? Padel Round ? This is what we will see right away.

Winnings at the end of a tournament

As mentioned earlier, there are 14 tournaments on the circuit, all of which pay the same number of points. At the end of the year, as in other circuits, there will be a Master Final, with the best pairs of the season.

First of all, an important aspect to highlight: gender equality is respected in this new circuit. The total prize money for a tournament is €240.000, both for men and for women.

These €240.000 are then redistributed to the players who participated in the main draw (no prize money for those who lose in previas) depending on the round in which they stop. The distribution is done like this. Let us specify that this is an amount per player, and not per pair:

ResultPrice/Player
Winner€11.900
Finalist€7.000
Semi-finalist€4.025
Quarter-finalist€2.275
8th finalist€1.356,25
16th finalist€798,44
32th finalist€514,06

For now, we don't know if the end-of-season Masters will have another prize money or if it will be similar to the other tournaments!

End of season bonuses

The Ultimate Padel Tour has also planned bonuses to reward the best players of the season. Once again, equality is respected: men and women will receive the same bonus.

Gwenaelle Souyri

It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
