To become a professional padel, no choice, you will first have to get into the competition and see what you are already worth against the best players in your country. And then embark on international competitions.

Here are our tips.

Have a healthy lifestyle

You are young and you think you are indestructible? You will quickly understand that getting started on professional circuits requires very good physical condition. The current captain of the French men's team, Pablo Ayma, was, to say the least, explicit on this subject: “thee padel modern puts a lot on the physical. The exchanges are more and more difficult and the sequence of matches means that you have to be ready all the time".

If you're good but can't go the distance, you'll have great difficulty finding a partner. And your opponents will know which lever to press. So put all your chances on your side to be in good shape!

Go to Spain and play international tournaments

If we look at the way the best French players proceed, we see that they left at one time or another to live in Spain. No choice, since many tournaments are played there and the best players and coaches are there. So plan a break on the other side of the Pyrenees to find the rhythm and benefit from the advice of the pundits of the padel World.

Today, there are 3 professional circuits: the World Padel Tour who took over from Padel ProTour, Premier Padel, which has become the official circuit of the International Federation of Padel, and the APT Padel Tower, worn by the passionate Fabrice Pastor.

To see what you are worth on the international stage, then you will have to go through these circuits and prove yourself. The competition is particularly fierce, which is why we advise players who try the adventure to give themselves at least a year, the time to find the rhythm.

Get sponsors

Brands are looking for visibility. But today, there are plenty of players who play a lot. How to make the difference then with the neighbor? First, you have to play as much as possible. The more you play, the better it is for a brand to support.

Then, of course, you must be able to obtain some results. Otherwise, no interest in brands. This is why many players start almost without a sponsor and obtain some during the year after proving that they are serious players, capable of obtaining some results.

Have the right partner

Recurring subject at all levels. We are often looking for a partner who suits us. The problem is: are we sufficiently lucid in relation to our own level? Not easy to know. Juan Lebron explained that it was also necessary to have “a little bit of luck” to evolve at the highest level because necessarily “we depend on each other and vice versa".

You also have to be on similar projects. And there too, it's not so simple because the life of a professional player who starts is particularly perilous and expensive...

Good luck!
