Classification assimilations may be issued to certain foreigners or to certain French players, so that their classification best reflects their level of play.

Le Guide the 2022 Competition allows us to know more about these assimilations.

These assimilations can be delivered under certain conditions.

The players concerned, French or foreign, are:

- players with an international ranking (FIP / WPT or APT ranking),

- players classified, or having been classified, at least at +2/6 in tennis in France - “presumed” tennis rankings are not taken into account,

- players who have already been classified padel (minimum Top 500 Men / Top 300 Women)

- players who have been selected for the national team or have a significant ranking in their country of origin, or those who have reached the final or have won one or more tournaments of category P 500 minimum and with a ranking not in accordance with this level competition.

You will find the different assimilation grids below.

Ranking valuation World Padel Tour

The best French players evolve on the professional FIP / WPT circuit which is today the benchmark at world level; FIP tournaments (International Federation of Padel) and WPT (World Padel Tour) are counted in one and the same classification.

To date, the results of international tournaments are not recorded by computer in the calculation of the French classification, and are therefore exclusively counted for the international classification. Also, in order to enhance the Word Padel Tour, the FFT classification is established as follows:

=> Gentlemen:

French players classified in the TOP 200 FIP / WPT at the time of publication of the monthly FFT ranking, are ordered from 1 to N; the numbering of other players starting at rank N + 1.

=> Ladies:

The best French players ranked among the TOP 100 FIP / WPT at the time of publication of the monthly FFT ranking are ordered from 1 to N; the numbering of the other players starting at rank N + 1.

Promotion of the APT PADEL TOUR

A second international circuit, the APT, was recently created and some French people also play on this high-level circuit recognized by the FFT.

Also, depending on their APT ranking at the time of publication of the FFT Ranking, an assimilation may be given to a player, whether foreign or French, according to the following grid:

Remember that for players who can benefit from assimilation, the best ranking - between the assimilation and the calculated FFT ranking - will be retained. Note also that an assimilation given to a player will have no impact on the rank of other players.
