You have often heard that it is necessary to warm up before a physical effort. So you're warming up, or at least you think you're warming up. What is really a good warm-up before working out? padel? How to warm up properly?

Small definition of warming up

The purpose of warming up is not to knock yourself out. So let's go easy! Warming up is and should remain a low intensity activity since it is “preparatory” or “transient”. It will allow your body to pass smoothly from a state of rest to a state of activity that requires more or less energy. You should therefore always go gradually and above all never miss this step before doing Padel.

You do Padel for your choice to feel better, be in better shape, better health or even more beautiful, right? So what's the point of getting injured because you haven't taken the time to warm up properly?

What is the warm-up for?

  • It reduces the risk of injury because the muscles are hot.
  • It serves to raise the body and muscle temperature by a few degrees thanks to the activation of the blood circulation.
  • It thus prepares the respiratory, cardio, nervous and musculoskeletal system to a higher activity

Distinguish the general warm-up of the specific warm-up

In the first case, this progressive ramp-up session aims to wake up your whole body because you will practice an activity that will mobilize several parts of your skeleton. This is the case for example fitness classes that usually mobilize a large part of the muscles.

For this form of warm-up, you can use brisk walking or jogging at a moderate pace. A little warm-up tip before a session Padel : go to your club by bike! You will already arrive partly warmed up!

The specific warming focuses on one part of the body. It is especially used during targeted sessions of bodybuilding. The idea is to solicit and prepare the part of the body that will then work the most with the weight exercises. So if your session of the day is on the upper body, you can do a warm-up of about ten minutes on rower completed with a small series of abdominals.

Now that you're warming up: let's go! Enjoy your session and we'll meet soon to learn how to stretch.
