We could have believed that over time the phenomenon padel would run out of steam a little on the side of our Spanish neighbors, but contrary to what we thought, it is not.

Indeed several factors tend to prove that this discipline is still growing on the other side of the Pyrenees!

Spain still number one in Europe

As the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily put our lives on hold for a few months, aficionados of padel were going around in circles at home hoping that one thing, that their clubs could reopen as soon as possible.
It was exhausting months of waiting for some who counted the days before deconfinement.

While this famous day arrived, it was still necessary to wait some time to be able to practice a sport.
And unexpectedly in Spain is that los padeleros still had to wait a few more weeks before being able to get out of the pala.

Indeed if certain sports were authorized to be practiced again, the clubs of padel were still not authorized to welcome the public. The country's health authorities saw it as a danger when practicing sports.
We would have thought that with the Coronavirus epidemic and the fact that Spain is already the promised land of padel, this enthusiasm for this sport can be exhausted.

Absolutely not !

On the contrary, the padel with our Iberian friends has never been so trendy.

More and more practitioners are to be counted in the clubs and the country attracts more and more foreigners to come and try their chances in order to increase their full potential.

In addition, the means made available for this discipline reinforce the fact that the expansion of padel is still growing (TV rights, live broadcasts, training center, etc.)

The future of the Spanish high level assured

And it must be said that the top Spanish level has a bright future ahead of it. If Spain and Argentina are engaged in a big fight to be the number 1 nation among men, we see that our neighbors, who already have the two world numbers 1, still have great talents who have not finished. hatch!

You already know players like Arturo Coello, Javi leal, Alex Arroyo, or Jesus moya sos, but be careful because other nuggets are pointing the tip of their nose. We think in particular of two very young pairs: Pablo Garcia Rodrigo / Jairo Bautista, and Juanlu Esbri / José Solano, who have chained the good results in recent weeks.

On the women's side, the supremacy is there and the reservoir is impressive, with 17 Spanish players in the Top 20!

Le padel Spanish is still doing as well and given the enthusiasm that this generates and the quality players that emerge from the Spanish training centers we can conclude that this country is indeed the promised land of this sport and that it is indeed a nation of padel, much more advanced than other countries.
