The FFT wishes to make the padel more accessible, and the first step is toincrease the reception capacity of padel, that is to say the number of courts in the territory: minimum two courts will be built in all leagues of the French tennis federation, and municipal structures will receive financial aid.

Talented players must be supported to be able to be professional and thus obtain results. The best professional French players will therefore receive aid with the aim of quickly reaching the best places in the world ranking of World Padel Tour.

A CNE PADEL that impresses

The creation of a national training center (CNE) dedicated to padel. The project should be completed in the next few years on Île-de-Puteaux, not far from Roland Garros.

The project should see the birth of 14 courts of padel to become the heart of the formation of the padel in France.

No federation of padel in the world does not have such a large and modern training center to train its elites: this would then represent a leap in the development of padel French.

According to Hubert Picquier, the objective is to keep national talents in France. Indeed, all the best French players emigrate to Spain to be in the best conditions to evolve on the international scene.

The CNE padel will function as a club of padel to allow amateurs to play in these beautiful infrastructures, and thus to bring the place alive.

The FFT would invest more than one fifteen million euros for this CNE padel, accompanied by about twenty tennis courts.

Le FFT PADEL TOUR : A SINGLE tour

The FFT launches the FFT Padel Tour to allow the padel to gain visibility. The first edition was that of 2019 with seven stages (Valenciennes Lyon Bordeaux Aix-en-Provence Strasbourg Asnières-Sur-Seine, and Marseille).

During the stages in Paris, Marseille, and Bordeaux, an event village was set up to allow as many people as possible to discover the padel, via initiations on two short ephemeral courts installed for the occasion, and via various animations.

The 2020 edition was to have six stages and a master at the end of the season, with one test each month from April to October. Four stages were to be held in city centers (Metz, Pau, an Ile-de-France city, and the master's in Toulon), and three stages in private clubs (El Padel Club de Wambrechies, the Country Club Padel Aixois in Aix-en-Provence, and TC Angers).

All these steps were canceled with the Covid-19 crisis.

The FFT: A single policy for all necessary

On its website, the FFT promotes its new event as follows: “These events will be magnificent spotlights on this discipline {…} to indulge their new passion in the clubs of the FFT ».

The end of this sentence raises a major issue, and the reason why the development of padel according to the FFT is much criticized: private clubs 100% padel do not benefit from financial support, and entrepreneurs in the padel take big risks by investing in a market that is still not very prolific.
