The news fell yesterday on the social networks of the two players: Mario Huete (112st) and Jose Jimenez (95th) go their separate ways. It is the latter who would have decided to put an end to the association between the two men

"José and I go our separate ways, following his decision. I hope your new project is going well. We will play our last tournament together at the Premier Padel Roma” comments Mario on his account Instagram.

An unexpected separation

If the latter is known to be one of the proteges of the famous trainer Manuel Martin, the “Rookie” as he is affectionately called by his coach, was talked about a lot a few weeks ago during the Getafe Challenger.

Indeed, he had particularly shone in his hometown with his partner. Absolutely not leaving favourites, the two players had eliminated higher ranked pairs to win a magnificent semi-final face Miguel Lamperti and Jon Sanz, the number 1 duo of the competition.

Despite these good results, the Spanish pair fell in the first round of previa in Albacete against José Maria Mouliaa and Frederico Mouriño 6-7/6-7.

Who will be their next teammates?

Although neither player has announced anything officially on social media yet, the registrations for the WPT in Copenhagen, which begins this Sunday, do not lie. So we see that Mario Huete will be associated with Javier Martinez (49th), thus climbing to 33rd place in the competition's pairs ranking, a big leap forward for the 112th player in the world.

José Jimenez is registered alongside the former partner of Javi Martinrez, Martin Sanchez Pineiro (62nd). The two men land in 35th place, just behind our tricolor Benjamin Tison and his teammate Teodoro Zapata.
