First men's semi-final with a big confrontation between the world numbers 1, Coello / TapiaFacing Juan lebron et Paquito Navarro (TS4). A highly anticipated display in Rome with a place in the final up for grabs.
If the match started on a good basis, we ended up losing Juan LeBron… which offered the meeting to Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia : 6/3 6/1.
A first round of sawtooth
The first set was very disjointed with five breaks made (3 for Coello / Tapia and 2 for Navarro / Lebron). It almost seemed like neither team really wanted to take the lead in this set.
However, we felt that the man a little less in shape in this match was Juan LeBron. THE Wolf a made many mistakes throughout the first round, which only increased the Andalusian's frustration.
It is despite everything Paquito Navarro who received a warning for throwing a ball into the stands. The two Andalusians may have tried to relieve the pressure by getting a little angry but, despite everything, the advantage is taken by Coello / Tapia: 6/3.
The annoyance of Lebron / Navarro
The 100% Spanish pair failed to find serenity in the second round, getting broken very quickly. Juan Lebron, totally under pressure, imitated his partner's gesture, throwing a ball into the stands. Penalty point for Lebron / Navarro.
Next to him, Paquito Navarro was in complete limbo and had difficulty understanding his teammate's reactions. The Andalusian pair completely came out of their match, offering points one after the other to Coello and Tapia.
Icy climate between Juan Lebron and Paquito Navarro. The tone rose on the bench… before absolute silence, despite an attempt by Rodrigo Ovide to get his players back into their game. In vain.
Ninth final this season for Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia!
It was her brother who one day told her to accompany him to a padel court, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the retransmission of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
