This is a first in the padel, Italy has more players than Argentina in a tournament main draw padel professional. In general, the main draws of professional tournaments are shared mainly between Spaniards and Argentines. But at home, Italy is clearly part of the party!
Indeed, in this second stage of the circuit Premier Padel which takes place in Rome, we have (before the end of the qualifications) 16 Italian players in the first round of the Italy Major Premier Padel, against 10 Argentinian players. We will also have four 100% Italian pairs and two exclusively made up of Argentinians.
For the two Argentinian pairings, it's Tello/Chingotto and Moyano/Belluati. The missing Argentinian pair is of course the one made up of Sanyo Gutiérrez and Agustin Tapia. As in Qatar, Tapia is still the big absentee from this tournament. His partner Sanyo has decided this time not to participate.
While waiting perhaps for the end of the qualifications, we will have at least one French representative in the main draw, namely Benjamin Tison.
Spain, as often during the tournaments which take place in Europe, largely dominates this table.
