The second men's semi-final of the BNL Italy Major Premier Padel will pit the world number 1 , Arturo Coello et Agustín Tapia , in pairs Francisco Guerrero / Javier Leal , authors of a journey as unexpected as it is historic. An unprecedented confrontation with high stakes.
A first opposition between the two pairs
This will be the first time that the two pairs face off on the circuit. On one hand, the consistency and experience of an ultra-dominant duo for two seasons; on the other, the freshness and surprise of a ranked pair 13e which shakes up the codes at the Foro Italico.
Coello / Tapia: the bosses of the circuit
Number 1 in the FIP ranking, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia have already won 4 titles in 2025 : Riyadh P1 , Qatar Major , Brussels P2 et Buenos Aires P1 Together, they accumulate 27 endings on the circuit Premier Padel including 22 tracks , a record that commands respect.
Their relationship with Rome is marked by constancy:
- Finalists of Italy Major in 2023 , winners against Paquito / Chingotto
- Finalists also in 2024 , beaten by Galán / Chingotto
Since the birth of their duo, they have argued all Major tournament finals , with the exception of Qatar 2023. In 2024, their record in Italy is mixed: a victory in Milan More two lost finals in Rome and Genoa.

Leal / Guerrero: a historic performance
Opposite, Javi leal et Fran Guerrero make a unprecedented feat : they become the lowest ranked pair in history to reach a semi-final of a Major tournament Premier Padel .
If they were to win against the number 1s, they would equal Bergamini / Ruiz , until then record holders as lowest ranked finalists on a Premier tournament. And above all, they would become the first pair outside the Top 10 to beat Coello/Tapia , a feat never achieved before.
Another notable fact: only two 100% Spanish pairs have already reached a Major tournament final in the history of Premier Padel : Galan / Lebron in Rome in 2022 and Yanguas / Garrido in Qatar in 2024. The Leal / Guerrero duo can therefore enter a very restricted caste.
A clash between two worlds
This semi-final therefore promises to be a opposition of styles : the experience, power and surgical precision of Coello / Tapia versus the enthusiasm, aggressiveness and success of an outsider duo, driven by a euphoric dynamic.
The result? It will determine not only the lineup for Sunday's grand final, but also the extent of the dream that Leal and Guerrero can hope to continue... or the assertion of Coello and Tapia's even more undeniable dominance in world padel.
