Padel Magazine - Jean-Luc Ténédos, president of the FLanders Tennis League, answered the three questions that internet users asked.

What are you going to suggest for tennis clubs to encourage them to get started in the padel ?

We are convinced that the padel is a sport with a future. A fun activity, it is a real opportunity for clubs to diversify their activities. For this, the League of Flanders has decided to give the means to tennis clubs, to open up to padel.

To develop the padel, we have chosen to set up aid for the creation of land (5000 € / land). It is limited to 1 pitch for clubs with less than 200 licensees and 2 grounds for clubs with more than 200 licensees. To benefit from it, the club must be affiliated (association under the 1901 law), have all its members (former and future) licensed, employ a DE who has followed training padel and a development project.

Are you going to propose special events?
From spring 2015, the League of Flanders will have at least one padel. We will be able to rely on this installation to introduce this activity by offering open days. We want to organize one or two departmental phases, which will qualify for the regional phase.

Will you also help private initiatives like Padel Attitude or Padel Sensation? If yes, how ?

On this point, we are in reflection with the FFT.
