The South African public will have to do without the "Lobo". Originally scheduled for August 15-17, the Johannesburg exhibition event will bring together 12 of the world's best players for a team tournament ( Team Galán  vs  Team Lebrón ), but Juan Lebrón will ultimately not make the trip.

The Andalusian, who was due to form a gala duo with Agustín Tapia to face Arturo Coello and Ale Galán in the closing match, has decided to withdraw. The cause: a minor injury sustained after the Valladolid tournament, which had already forced him to miss the Malaga stage.

"I want to be ready for Madrid"

Returning to competition in Tarragona with good feelings, Lebrón nevertheless prefers to play it safe:

"I'm going to miss this event and it really hurts me, but I want to be as ready as possible for the Madrid tournament in September. I have to continue healing the injury I recently suffered," he explained on his social networks.

The organization is looking for a replacement

Until his announcement, the organization continued to promote the Lebrón poster on its official media. Now, the organizers have confirmed that a replacement will be announced in the coming hours to join the team.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
